Learn About Reverse Dieting

Reverse dieting takes advantage of metabolic adaptation: the process by which your body naturally raises or lowers its metabolism based on the number of calories eaten.

After a period of dieting the body has naturally lowered its metabolism meaning you burn less calories at the end of a cut (period of weight loss) than you did at the beginning.

Because of this if you increased the number of calories you are consuming quickly your body will rebound and regain weight.

The purpose of a reverse diet is to take advantage of metabolic adaptation and slowly increase your daily calories in a controlled fashion so you can increase your metabolism overtime, eat more calories, and maintain the results from your cut.
